The biggest difference here is Outlook 2000 and 2003 used an IE based preprocessor and worked fairly well as this was based on how a browser would render code. For Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 Outlook is now using Microsoft Word for a preprocessor and this is why we run into so many issues with front end code in the newer version of Outlook as it’s based on Microsoft Word.
